The Righteousness of God by Henry Miranda

Romans 1:17 (NKJV) 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.

When we are doing well, we tend to forget about God. It's only when we need Him that we really look for God.

As Christians, we must walk by faith and not by sight. We have an enemy, Satan and he really exists. He has been around since he was thrown out of heaven; he just stays out of sight, but not out of your mind. He is just waiting to see if you let him come into your thoughts and mind. Satan is already spiritually dead and will not be reconciled with God. He has nothing to lose since he already lost his place with God. He convinced one third of the Angels to follow him, just think, if he could convince Angels, how easy it would be to convince you that God is dead. We need the love and the protection of God, but most of the time we act like we don't need God.

It seems that we all have stories to tell on how the Lord has blessed us, but how quickly we forget them when we think we don't need God anymore, or when we start dwelling on the things of the world. Let's take a look at the Israelites. When they left Egypt, they were supposed to reach the Promised Land in 11 days. Instead they wandered in the desert for 40 years, because of their disbelief. They saw the miracles that God performed on a daily basis, and still they grumbled and complained.

No matter what blessings God has bestows upon us, we act the same way as the Israelites, and we quickly forget God's miracles in our lives and we fall into the temptation of the flesh. I have always struggled with my Christianity. I have been a Christian for over 30 years, yet I still yield to the flesh at times. It's not a question about knowing the word; it's about staying in the word.
When you belong to the world and are doing the things of the world, Satan has no need to interfere in your life because you already belong to him. It is not until you decide to leave the things of the world and follow God that Satan starts coming around trying to get you to turn your back on God. Life can be difficult as a Christian because we will always have Satan trying to rob us of our blessings from God. That is why it's very important that we are rooted deeply in our faith. Just like Satan deceived one third of the angels, he is trying to deceive mankind into believing that there is no God. Just by looking around us, we have seen the beauty of the Lord. Nothing evil could have created this beautiful world. The bible tells us that the just must live by faith. As Christians, we need to live by every word in the bible. There will always be questions as to how things happen or why things happen. As Christians, that should not be our concern. We should only be concerned with following God.

God gave us a mind so that we could think. And in our mind, he also instilled conscience, mercy, and passion. We need to lean towards God's understanding and not our own understanding. We are but a small pea in the pod compared to the vastness of God. We should be asking ourselves why we must question everything, instead of just leaning on God. God is not a man that he should lie. When we become Christians the Holy Spirit, which is God, comes and dwells in us. Nothing is impossible for us as long as we believe in what we say or ask for in faith, and knowing it will be done, without any doubt in our minds.

Matthew 21:21-22 (NKJV)
So Jesus answered and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' it will be done. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."
